Stick It To The Stickman is a roguelike action game developed by Free Lives and published by Devolver Digital. You, as an anonymous stickman, must climb the corporate ladder by punching and kicking your co-workers and eventually become CEO. The game takes place in a satirical office.

The game uses both dark humor and a simple cartoon style to turn real-life horrors like firing workers, taking advantage of others, or killing protesters into scenes that are both scary and funny.

Overview

You start working for a company as a new employee. Punching your way through floors is the way to get promoted, not reports or KPIs.

The goal is to climb to the top of the office building, take down your boss, and eventually sit in the CEO's chair.
However, you are overthrown by another stickman when you are promoted to CEO. The cycle of power continues, illustrating the brutality and absurdity of a mocking workplace.

How to play Adhere to the Stickman.

When fighting in the office tower, you start with a few simple moves (knives, punches, kicks, and office supplies like coffee cups, shooting pins, etc.).
Attacks can be upgraded or unlocked to become overwhelming abilities like Darth Vader's Force Choke, Liu Kang's Dragon Kick, or throwing shuriken at Hadouken. Attacks also rotate in cycles.

Character variety: there are over 20 different types of "stickman army", each with unique abilities, making replayability extremely attractive.

Progression: you can create new facilities (gyms, training centers, etc.) and unlock improvement trees by earning coins after completing a round.

Tips & Tricks

  • Don't play randomly: the game may seem like random clicks at first, but as you progress, you'll need to predict which attacks will come and when to use heavy-light.
  • Take advantage of upgrades by carefully combining powerful combos (e.g. turning a knife into a shuriken and then into a hadouken).
  • Try out different stickman classes; each character has their own fighting style, so playing over and over again won't get boring.
  • Pay attention to the side modes: training and platforming are still quite difficult, and many people find them more annoying than engaging. Tower combat is still the game's strongest feature.
